Chad Stanley interviews Cleveland rocker Nick Riff who pimps his recently released (1995) CD Cloak of Immortality. The second interview is the actor Ron Link who talks about a pyrotechnic spectacular that he produced at CPT.
Between the interviews is the short video Escape from France starring Tim Herron, Ballroom Johnson and Linda Baldizzi. An American artist gets involved with a pugilistic bar owner in France. Squint and you might not see the chroma key noise. Produced and everything by Andy Timithy.
The show ends with a promo for Petit Ballon. In some ways I like this promo better than the full film which first aired in December, 1997.
Escape from France was shot in February, 1997. Both interviews on this show were taped on November 11th, 1995. Some insert shots are from the April, 1997 taping.
Kevin Lytle worked his huge SVHS camera and helped with the sound on the 11/11/95 segments. John Rynes manned the video8 camera. Joe Milan and Andrew Klimek were the band Spongi Cabaret. Produced and edited by Andy Timithy. The show first aired on Cleveland Cable Access 53 on April 21st, 1997.
I’m slowly putting all the episodes into correct chronological order online. This particular episode was one that I sent back to the station in 2002 as a repeat. It mistakenly got filed on the 2002 shelf along with 4 other episodes. It rocked my filing world when I realized what had happened and I straightened it out pronto. Anyhow that’s why I’m posting episode 4 now after having posted episode 12 yesterday.
12 episodes were produced in 1997. 40-42 episodes exist. I stopped producing shows for cable access some time in 2002. So, between 1998 and 2002 thirty more episodes were produced. That works out to 6 episodes per year after the first year. I will probably not put anymore online until next year and I think I’ll purposely go out of order a little bit and get some of the Lara as host shows online. And that folks was my Steven B. Smith moment. And finally I’ll end this with an Adam Harvey moment. This sentence was written to make it look like I had allot to write.
